IZZO GOES TO BROADWAYBack by popular demand and for one night only, four-time National Coach of the Year, Michigan State University basketball coach Tom Izzo takes to the stage for a very special evening of entertainment and inspiration, Tuesday, May 11, 2010 at 7:30pm at DeVos Performance Hall. Coach Izzo was convinced his 2009 performance on stage at East Lansing's Wharton Center was a one-time gig, not to be repeated. However, fans of basketball and Broadway insisted Coach Izzo return to the stage, this time at DeVos Performance Hall in Grand Rapids. Izzo Goes To Broadway celebrates the "winning spirit" with an evening of song, dance and inspiration featuring Coach Tom Izzo, along with performers direct from the bright lights of Broadway and loads of special guests. It's a must-see show, written and directed by East Lansing native Greg Ganakas (son of former Spartan basketball coach Gus Ganakas) and produced by MSU's Wharton Center for Performing Arts. Join Coach Izzo and friends as he shows he has what it takes for basketball and Broadway with this family-friendly evening. Izzo Goes To Broadway is presented by Broadway Grand Rapids and the MSU Club of West Michigan. Proceeds from this performance will benefit arts education programming in West Michigan and MSU student scholarships. A portion of the ticket cost is tax deductible: $200 VIP - charitable contribution is $100; all other tickets - charitable contribution is $25. Izzo Goes to Broadway is sponsored in part by Amway Grand Plaza Hotel, Auto-Owners Insurance Company, Fifth Third Bank, Meijer, Dean Transportation, Gainey Realty & Investment Corp, and Jackson National Life Insurance Company. | |||
